Client of the month

Gina

It gives us all great pleasure to congratulate Gina on reaching client of the month status for September

The last 18 months has been a remarkable journey of self discovery and constant belief to overcome her own fears. Most of us understand the concept of if you really want something to change for the greater good then it requires a high level of commitment and tenacity for a long period of time.

Up until this day, Gina has lost a total of 11.5kgs in BW and has shaved off 30.5cm in girth measurements, and what will be super pleasing for Gina to know is that 14.5cm of it has come off her waist!
It takes a huge amount of effort for one to get to this stage in their life and in the first six months of training there was a lot of resistance from Gina herself, she questioned herself many times if she couldĀ see herself getting to where she really needed to be. There were moments of discomfort, frustration and thoughts of “am i actually going to make it”
It took a good 12 months for Gina to realise that everything was starting to fall into place and that’s when she went from a gear THREE to a gear SIX!

Gina now has a brand new filter on life and how she approaches her exercise and nutrition. It’s fair to say that she has gone through a personal transformation where she has left behind the old version of “Gina” and has embraced the new and stronger version of herself

Her current routine consists of:

  • 5x PT sessions/wk
  • 10,000 steps/day
  • intervals on the treadmill (hasn’t run in over 20 years)
  • increased her sleep hours
  • increased movement outside PT sessions
  • alcohol free days during the week
  • an overhaul on her nutrition

Gina will tell you herself that the moment when it all changed was when she started noticing herself getting stronger in the gym and started increasing her intensity with her nutritional habits. “Losing the first 3-4kgs i didn’t have to adjust my nutrition too much but i knew if i wanted to lose 10kgs+ i’d have to make some significant changes. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to reduce the alcohol let alone embrace this alcohol free day business but that’s been an absolute game changer for me. And one other thing that I’ve eliminated is having a snack after dinner. I’d do this without even thinking but with the guidance and knowledge from Tony this is now pretty much non existent”

Gina is sitting at 64.5kgs right now and the scary thing is it doesn’t end here for her. She wants to drop another 2-3kilos before Christmas knowing the festive season is always tricky with high volume of food and alcohol

And to finish off a few words from her trainer Tony

“Gina congratulations on all the amazing work you have done at RH, there were ups and downs but look at where you are now. Alcohol free days?? I remember you telling me this was never going to happen? Look at where you are now, you’re an absolute powerhouse human! You keep on impressing and inspiring me every week with your constant fight to be a betterĀ person. You deserve all the praise gina – KUDOS!!

On behalf of everyone at Rushcutters Health, Congratulations to you and the amazing journey you’ve taken to get to where you are now!
